Every dowel is hand inspected to ensure that the grain is straight and free of outer defects; only then does it make it to our lathes to be turned into a Los Cabos Drumstick. Red Hickory is the dense heartwood of the hickory tree, and with density comes extra durability for long lasting drumsticks.
Red Hickory is found closer to the heart of the tree and offers more durability and strength yet retains the flexibility for which Hickory is known with the added aesthetic beauty of the dark colour.
