Head Monster Noel Lee, an entrepreneurial icon in the audio and music industries, has worked with some of the world’s finest musicians and professionals. He started Monster Cable & Monster Power over 40 years ago in a San Francisco garage. 567 patents later, Noel was alaser-fusion design engineer, as an audiophile as well as a professional drummer, Lee discovered that different wires produced varying degrees of audio performance when hooked up to loudspeakers, depending on the cables' constructions. From this discovery, Lee developed a high-performance speaker cable, calling it "Monster" because the name sounded strong, huge, and powerful. Prior to the founding of Monster Cable, most audio systems were wired with standard household and lamp wire, which delivered inferior sound quality.
